Krakow is a nice city. Stayed in Hotel Alexander. We combined the trip with a visit to Auschwitz. With a beautiful weather, green fields and lots of flowers it did not make a big impression. The buildings and whole area didn’t impress us as much as we expected / as we maybe should.
Schoolchildren walking around with Israeli flags was strange to see. After the visit we had a drink in
Oświęcim. The central square was crowded with kids who celebrated the end of their schoolyear.
In Krakow we’ve taken a tour driving in a yellow Trabant. Had dinner in Restauracja SZARA and Restauracja Cyrano de Bergerac. Not impressive. Nightlife was mostly in some kind of caves. Feeling someone has confused the words cave and cafe. A little claustrophobic.
